Saving Documents to Your Site

Once a document has been added to your site you can immediately save (or register) that document by adding meta data like Employee Name and Document Type, or you can save the document(s) to be registered at another time. 

Note: anything added to the “auto-barcode processing” state will be automatically registered to the site immediately 

From the Pending State click on the document you would like to register to the site, click the Change State button and select Registered 

  • if the document is one Document Type for one employee you can use the “Direct” Register Documents option in the pop-up window
  • if the document needs to be broken apart into multiple Documents Type and/or Employee select the “edit & Split” option 

To split and save a single document into multiple documents: 

Best practice is to start with the first page and work your way down the document so its best to start by adding metadate (ie: Employee Name) for the very first thumbnail image then review the pages of the first document and when you reach the first page of the next (new) document click on that thumbnail image and click the “split at this page” icon in the blue toolbar now you can change the metadata for the second document without it impacting the first document. 

If you find a page out of order simply drag and drop it to the correct location. 

To see an overview of your documents, click the “Gallery” option in the upper right corner 

Once your happy with the document breakdown click the “Save & Register” button
